Modern Day Ham

I had an interesting thought the other day. Those of us that prowl the bloggosphere are to the Internet what Ham operators are to radio. I have a few ham operator friends who might KILL me for saying that, but in a sense, that's what we are. A ham operator is a regular Joe, your average guy who probably has a wife, kids, a job, and perhaps goes to Church on Sunday. He may enjoy technology, have a bit of a science bug, or just enjoy communicating with the world at large. It doesn't matter what his reason is per se, all that matters is that he is willing to spread information, to tell to world what is going on from his point of view. Blogging is the same thing. I am just a lone operator, sending up a signal in the dead of night, hoping someone out there on the other end of the wire will hear me and respond (most of you punks don't). Right now, I am in the developing stages of my blog, we'll see where it goes from here. But until then, I can just ham it up!
