Because I have to write something

Damn!, I've gone almost a week without posting ANYTHING to this blog. Bad, Bad, boy. I would like to write something everyday if I could. Well, baseball season is about to start and every spring I am a little more excited than last year. I am actually not a baseball fan. Truth be told, I find it rather boring to have to sit through an entire nine or ten inning ball game. But just knowing that the game is being played make me feel good. I will become more interested as the season progresses and, of course, if one of my teams (A's, Giants, Yankees, or the Mets) gets into the playoffs and the World Series, my interest will rise. Of course, around my house, being a baseball fan is almost a survival tactic. My grandmother has been hooked on baseball since she was a little girl, I think she is even more excited than I am that the season is finally taking off.

We actually watched a very interesting baseball game a week or so ago. It was a playoff game for the Caribbean World Series, between the Mexican National Team and the Dominican Republic National Team. What interested me most was how many players there were from the 'States. Many of them were Minor Leaguers, but there were a few from the Big Leagues as well, like Erubiel Durazo from the Oakland A's.

I wonder if anyone has thought of having the winner of the Caribbean Series play the winner of the Series in the United States. Then we would have a true WORLD series.
